More details

Developers managing domain email authentication often receive hundreds of DMARC aggregate XML reports packed in compressed archives or raw eml files. Manually unpacking archives, parsing XML tags, and correlating IP addresses to verify SPF and DKIM compliance is tedious and error-prone. The tool automatically ingests reports from zip, gzip, xml, and eml files or fetches them over IMAP. It stores extracted policies and records in a local SQLite database with built-in report deduplication. Additionally, it performs cached reverse DNS PTR resolutions for sender IP addresses and serves a local web dashboard to review aggregate dispositions. Example: Run python3 dmarc_lens_report_viewer.py --help to view all supported CLI parameters. Process an archive folder without reverse DNS queries by running python3 dmarc_lens_report_viewer.py --dir reports --no-dns in your terminal. To ingest records into a custom database and launch the viewer, execute python3 dmarc_lens_report_viewer.py --db dmarc.db --port 8080 in your shell. It does not automatically generate or update DNS records, enforce quarantine rules, or send outgoing email alerts.
